The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As both boxers engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
