Since the launch of Campaign 4, fresh DM the talented storyteller has kept viewers on edge with deep backstory, a wide array of characters, and a exciting storyline including angels, fiends, and dark forces growing in influence within the urban setting.
Heads-up: Revealing details for Episode 3 of the new season follow below.
The Soldiers Table Revealed
Episode 3 finished on a dramatic pause and presented the initial group of characters who will separate from the primary party to begin their independent quest, apart from the other two tables.
This warrior group consists of Teor (brought to life by Travis), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), the cleric (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).
Dividing the Cast
Considering an extensive roster, it was obvious from the outset that keeping everyone at the same party would be impossible.
This explains, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, connecting the characters’ stories before dividing into three smaller tables: Fighters, Schemers, and Seekers.
What Defines the Soldiers Table
As described by the DM, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who are drawn to a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven story mode where peaceful solutions are few and far between.
Upon first impression, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander might look unsuited, but the developments of the third episode show why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the warrior group.
Motivations for Departure
For one thing, the party has a clear idea where to head next after a brutal initial meeting with the enemy group.
A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose demise started the story’s plot—exploited the foes for his selfish purposes, invading Thjazi’s hideout, striking the character, and swiping all the enchanted items to sell off.
The antagonist then settled his obligations and escaped to a secure base in the northern region, north of the city, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.
Individual Reasons
Moreover, each adventurer has a individual motive to exit Dol-Makjar:
- Thimble, as the close ally and trusted friend, wants vengeance.
- Kattigan has experience in the northern area and advises that it is a hostile location.
- The warrior and The cleric, having defied his family’s wishes to eliminate the target and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
- However, their reputation as key figures in the powerful family could enable the team enter areas they normally couldn’t.
- Moreover, The fighter pledged a unbreakable promise to The savior for his salvation and will now accompany him everywhere.
Fugitives
In addition, all of them are hunted by the powers that control the city for a range of causes, making remaining behind dangerous:
- The agile adventurer and The character are known criminals.
- The strong figure and The cleric betrayed House Halovar and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
- The target is wanted dead by House Halovar.
This leaves them no alternative but to head to the northern region in pursuit of the traitor.
Upcoming Developments
Based on episode three’s follow-up content, we find out that the combat party will be absent the following episode, leaving the rest of the cast members to form the Explorers and Schemers parties.
Viewers can expect finding out which adventurers will be assigned to which table in the season’s final introductory chapter, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
